Photography tips
How this image was taken
For this night shot, an exposure time of 8 seconds was selected to capture the available light effectively. The narrow aperture of f/18 ensures high depth of field, while the ISO 800 setting balances light sensitivity for the dark surroundings.
- Use a long exposure time at night to capture the light trails of passing vehicles and the details of illuminated facades.
- Select a small aperture like f/18 if you want to maintain focus from the nearby walls throughout the entire scene to the background.
- Pay attention to composition by using the symmetrical lines of the buildings to guide the viewer's eye directly toward the lit subject.
