Photography tips
How this image was taken
Using an aperture of f/6.3 allows you to maintain enough depth of field to keep the distinct Ape three-wheeler in the foreground sharp while keeping the background recognisable. The fast shutter speed of 1/800 s also enables you to capture movement clearly.
- Utilise the foreground: Place a striking object like the Ape three-wheeler purposefully within the frame to create a sense of depth.
- Select a perspective: Experiment with your position to establish an interesting relationship between the nearby subject and the scene in the distance.
- Adjust composition: Look for a balanced arrangement where the main subject in the foreground does not distract from the background.
