Photography tips
How this image was taken
For this shot, an aperture of f/16 was used to achieve deep focus, ensuring both the blossoming trees in the foreground and the hotel in the background appear sharp. The focal length of 82 mm compresses the elements within the frame, bringing the castle visually closer.
- Use a stopped-down aperture like f/16 to keep the entire scene, from the blossoms to the building, consistently sharp.
- With a focal length of 82 mm, ensure a sufficiently short shutter speed of 1/160 s to prevent camera shake.
- Choose a deliberate foreground, such as the blossoming branches here, to add depth and a seasonal frame to the composition.
