Photography tips
How this image was taken
For this night scene, a long shutter speed of 10 seconds was chosen to capture enough light despite the small aperture of f/22. The ISO 400 provides a balanced compromise between light sensitivity and image quality under the existing lighting conditions.
- Use a long shutter speed to achieve correct exposure in low ambient light.
- Apply a small aperture like f/22 to create a starburst effect around bright light sources.
- Select a prominent foreground subject, such as a Christmas tree, to add depth and seasonal context to your image.
