Photography tips
How this image was taken
With a shutter speed of 1/500 s and a focal length of 400 mm, you keep the moving subject sharp, while the aperture of f/8 ensures sufficient depth of field.
- Use a fast shutter speed to freeze the motion of the ship when shooting with long focal lengths.
- Select a mid-range aperture to capture both the ship and the surroundings in detail.
- Choose an elevated perspective to emphasize the layering between the ship, the waterfront, and the old town.
