Photography tips
How this image was taken
Using an aperture of f/10 gives you enough depth of field to keep the branches in the foreground as well as the cityscape and Mount Rigi in focus. The shutter speed of 1/320 s allows you to take the shot handheld without any camera shake.
- Use branches in the foreground as a natural frame to create depth in your composition.
- Choose a narrow aperture like f/10 to ensure both the near details and the background remain sharp.
- Pay attention to a fast shutter speed when shooting in snow to keep the scene sharp.
