Photography tips
How this image was taken
For this shot at dusk, an open aperture of f/1.8 was used to obtain a correctly exposed image under the given light conditions, paired with a moderate shutter speed of 1/30 s and an ISO setting of 1250. The short focal length of 7 mm provides a wide perspective across the lake.
- Select an open aperture to gain enough brightness for a short shutter speed even in fading light.
- Pay attention to the ISO setting to find a balance between image noise and necessary light sensitivity.
- Use a close foreground, like the flag shown here, to add depth to your landscape photography.
