Photography tips

How this image was taken

This daylight shot uses an aperture of f/8 for optimal sharpness and a fast shutter speed of 1/500 s to ensure a steady image at a focal length of 100 mm.

  • Use a low ISO setting like ISO 100 to achieve a noise-free image in bright snowy conditions.
  • Select a mid-range aperture of f/8 to capture both the foreground details and the distant Alpine panorama in focus.
  • Employ a telephoto focal length around 100 mm to compress the scene from a distance and emphasize the subject rising from the clouds.
