Photography tips
How this image was taken
In this shot, the aperture of f/6.3 and a low ISO of 100 ensure a clear image in daylight. The shutter speed of 1/400 s freezes the movement of the water, resulting in a sharp overall capture.
- Use the perspective of the covered pier to guide the viewer's gaze directly towards the distant mountains.
- Select a focal length of 30 mm to capture both the near foreground of the wooden structure and the panorama of Lake Lucerne.
- Pay attention to composition by ensuring the side wall of the pier creates a clear leading line that adds depth to the image.
