Photography tips

How this image was taken

To capture the scene during the blue hour with limited light, a wide aperture of f/1.8 was used to let in plenty of light. The shutter speed of 1/9 s combined with an ISO of 2000 makes this exposure possible under these light conditions.

  • Use a lens with a wide aperture to allow for photography in low light without needing excessively long exposure times.
  • Use a nearby object in the foreground intentionally to create spatial depth and a natural frame for your main subject through its blurriness.
