How this image was taken

For this image during fading light, a focal length of 15 mm was chosen to capture a wide landscape perspective. The combination of a 1/60 s shutter speed and an aperture of f/5.6 allowed for a balanced exposure of the twilight at an ISO of 320.

  • Use a wide-angle perspective to feature the pier as a leading line through the image.
  • Choose an aperture like f/5.6 to keep the shutter speed short in low light conditions.
  • Focus on the foreground by intentionally positioning the wooden pier at the edge of the frame to create depth.
