Photography tips
How this image was taken
In this shot, a small aperture of f/18 was used to achieve a deep depth of field and emphasize the sunstar, while the short shutter speed of 1/1250 s balances the brightness despite the direct sun.
- Use a small aperture to deliberately create the sunstar effect in bright light.
- Select a short shutter speed to avoid overexposing the sky and clouds when shooting directly into the sun.
- Use a wide-angle focal length of 15 mm to impressively capture the expanse of the sea of clouds.
