Photography tips
How this image was taken
In this shot, the shutter speed of 2.5 s combined with an aperture of f/8 provides an even exposure of the lights at a moderate ISO 640. The 12 mm focal length captures the expansive scenery of the Christmas-decorated promenade.
- Use a wide-angle lens like 12 mm to include the foreground and the scale of the scene.
- Choose a longer shutter speed to ensure the lights reflect clearly on the water surface.
- Set a balanced aperture to achieve good depth of field from the promenade to the bridge.
