Photography tips
How this image was taken
To capture the motion of the carousel and the festive mood during twilight, an exposure time of 2 seconds with an aperture of f/11 was used. The long exposure creates a blur effect for the spinning carousel, while f/11 ensures a deep depth of field, keeping both the foreground sleigh and the background in focus.
- Use a long exposure time to turn the rotating motion of the carousel into visible light trails.
- Choose a closed aperture like f/11 to ensure both the foreground sleigh and the carousel in the background are captured in focus.
- Use a wide-angle lens with 14 mm to prominently feature the sleigh in the foreground while capturing the entire Christmas scenery.
