Photography tips
How this image was taken
For this nocturnal motive, a shutter speed of 1/2 second was used to emphasize the motion of the carousel, while the aperture of f/8 provides sufficient depth of field. The ISO 1000 setting allowed for proper exposure under the challenging lighting conditions.
- Use a longer shutter speed to capture the motion of the carousel as a trail of light.
- Choose a wide-angle focal length like 12 mm to capture the entire scene of the Christmas market.
- Pay attention to holding the camera steady when using ISO 1000 to avoid blur in static areas.
