Photography tips
How this image was taken
For this night shot, the long exposure time of 30 seconds provides the necessary brightness, while the closed aperture of f/18 creates star effects around the point light sources of the city.
- Use the closed aperture of f/18 to render bright lights at night as delicate stars.
- Choose a long exposure time of 30 seconds to capture enough light for a detailed shot of the city, even at ISO 400.
- Use a short focal length of 18 mm to achieve as wide an overview of the illuminated structures and the city skyline as possible.
