Photography tips
How this image was taken
This night shot utilizes a shutter speed of 13 seconds to capture the city lights, while the aperture of f/10 ensures a deep depth of field across the entire cityscape.
- Use a longer shutter speed to properly capture the brightness of the Christmas illumination in low ambient light.
- Choose a closed aperture like f/10 so that both the nearby buildings along the Reuss and the distant mountains remain in focus.
- Keep the ISO value moderate at 400 to maintain low image noise during this long exposure of the city.
