Photography tips
How this image was taken
For this night shot, the aperture of f/18 combined with a shutter speed of 3.2 seconds ensures a sharp rendering of the light points on the facade, while the ISO of 1600 provides the necessary sensitivity in low light. The focal length of 26 mm allows for a balanced composition of the building framed by the branches.
- Use the aperture effectively to create subtle light effects from bright sources like the stars on the facade.
- Incorporate a dark foreground, such as the branches, to add depth to your image and draw the eye toward the illuminated architecture.
- Pay attention to the shutter speed to ensure a stable shot at night, even when balancing the ISO setting.
