Photography tips
How this image was taken
In this nocturnal shot, the shutter speed of 2 seconds ensures that the light of the Christmas decorations and their reflections on the Reuss river are captured effectively, while the aperture of f/8 provides good overall image sharpness. The ISO value of 640 allows for a clear reproduction of the scene without excessive digital noise.
- Use a longer shutter speed to capture the light reflections on the water in detail.
- Select a mid-range aperture like f/8 to achieve consistent sharpness from the buildings to the background.
- Pay attention to the light sources in the scene and adjust the ISO value to achieve a balanced relationship between brightness and image quality.
