Photography tips
How this image was taken
For this night shot, a shutter speed of 1.3 seconds was used to capture the low ambient light, while the aperture of f/14 ensures consistent sharpness. An ISO of 1000 provides the necessary balance between sensitivity and image noise.
- Use a small aperture like f/14 to render the point lights of the fairy lights as small stars.
- Ensure steady camera handling during the long exposure to capture the details of the historic facades clearly.
- Experiment with the 23 mm focal length to emphasize the depth of the alley and the symmetry of the lighting.
