Photography tips
How this image was taken
This night shot uses a shutter speed of 15 seconds to capture the available light effectively, while the aperture of f/18 provides deep depth of field. The ISO 400 setting keeps noise levels low despite the long exposure time.
- Use a long shutter speed so that the faint light from the Christmas illumination and building facades is correctly exposed.
- Choose a small aperture like f/18 to achieve deep depth of field and capture the light sources as small stars.
- Keep the ISO setting low to maintain image quality during the long exposure.
