Photography tips
How this image was taken
To capture the dynamics of the carousel and the atmosphere at dusk, a long shutter speed of 1 s was chosen, while the aperture of f/8 provides sufficient depth of field. The ISO of 640 allowed for a proper exposure in these lighting conditions with moderate image noise.
- Use a shutter speed of at least one second to depict the carousel's rotation as intentional motion blur.
- Choose a moderate ISO value at dusk to capture the lighting mood of the market stalls without excessive image noise.
- Use a focal length in the wide-angle range to integrate both the carousel and the historic building into the frame.
