Photography tips
How this image was taken
For this night shot, the long exposure of 30 seconds ensures sufficient illumination of the city lights while maintaining a low ISO value of 400. The aperture of f/18 provides a deep depth of field, rendering both the nearby buildings and the distant mountains in focus.
- Use a long exposure time to capture enough light for a detailed view of the city in the dark.
- Select a small aperture like f/18 to achieve a deep depth of field across the entire frame.
- Keep the ISO value as low as possible to prevent image noise during long exposures.
- Use a wide-angle lens to optimally capture the breadth of the scenery between the lake and the Alps.
