Photography tips
How this image was taken
For this night shot, an exposure time of 1.3 seconds was chosen to capture the dim ambient light, while an aperture of f/8 ensures sufficient depth of field. The ISO of 640 balances light sensitivity and image noise.
- Use an aperture of f/8 to keep both the glowing Christmas star and the city background in focus.
- Select a longer exposure time to capture the night lights without excessive image noise.
- Consider your composition by using the Christmas star intentionally as a frame for the view of the Reuss river.
