Photography tips
How this image was taken
For this night shot, an exposure time of 2.5 seconds was chosen to capture the dim ambient light, while the aperture of f/14 ensures consistent depth of field. The ISO 1000 setting balances the lighting conditions at the chosen focal length of 66 mm.
- Ensure a stable position for your camera during long exposures to avoid motion blur.
- Use a narrow aperture like f/14 to render the point lights of the festive decorations with precision.
- Combine the architecture with a body of water in the foreground to effectively capture the reflections of the light sources.
