Photography tips
How this image was taken
For this night shot, a shutter speed of 13 seconds was chosen to capture the dim light of the buildings. The closed aperture of f/18 creates a distinct starburst effect on the light sources, while an ISO of 400 provides sufficient sensitivity.
- Use a long shutter speed so you can capture enough of the available light from the night architecture.
- Choose a small aperture like f/18 to turn bright light points into star-like reflections.
- Select a moderate ISO value to keep image noise low for night photography.
