Photography tips
How this image was taken
For this shot at 141 mm focal length, the fast shutter speed of 1/800 s ensures the moving boat is captured sharply. The aperture of f/8 provides sufficient depth of field, while the ISO of 800 adjusts the sensitivity to the fading evening light.
- Choose a fast shutter speed when photographing moving subjects like boats to prevent motion blur.
- Use a medium aperture to keep both the boat and the details of the snow-covered backdrop in focus.
- Monitor your ISO setting when shooting in evening light to maintain enough light for fast shutter speeds, especially when using longer focal lengths.
