Photography tips
How this image was taken
Using a focal length of 200 mm allowed you to bring the sailboats closer, while the aperture of f/8 provided sufficient depth of field. The shutter speed of 1/125 s combined with ISO 800 ensured a clear image despite the fading evening light.
- Use a telephoto lens to isolate distant subjects like boats and bring them closer to the background.
- Select a mid-range aperture like f/8 to achieve good image quality and keep the subject sharp.
- Adjust your ISO settings based on the available light to maintain fast shutter speeds for blur-free shots when using long focal lengths.
