Photography tips
How this image was taken
This shot was taken with an aperture of f/10 to ensure a deep depth of field across the urban landscape, while the shutter speed of 1/500 s at ISO 500 provides a sufficiently short exposure to capture a sharp image without a tripod.
- Select a mid-range aperture like f/10 to keep both the city architecture and the mountains in the background in focus.
- Use a moderately increased ISO in changing winter light to allow for a fast shutter speed and avoid motion blur.
- Focus on a clean composition with a 50 mm focal length, balancing the city in the foreground with the Rigi massif as a prominent background.
