Photography tips
How this image was taken
This shot was captured at an aperture of f/25 to render the sun's rays through the branches as a distinct star effect, while an ISO of 1600 ensured proper exposure despite the small aperture.
- Use a high f-number like f/25 to create a starburst effect when shooting directly into sunlight.
- Choose a 100 mm focal length to compress the perspective and bring the backdrop of Mount Pilatus closer to the forest foreground.
- Adjust the ISO settings to maintain adequate exposure in the snowy forest when working with small aperture openings.
