Photography tips
How this image was taken
In this shot, the long exposure time of 15 seconds combined with an aperture of f/20 ensures that the nocturnal lights of the Christmas market and the city panorama are captured in detail, while the low ISO of 200 minimizes image noise. The 22 mm focal length allows for an expansive view of the scene.
- Use a foreground element, such as decorated coniferous trees, to provide depth to your composition.
- Choose a small aperture to render light sources as stars and achieve sharp focus across the entire image.
- Use a long exposure time to capture sufficient light in night settings, while maintaining a low ISO for image quality.
