Photography tips
How this image was taken
This night shot uses an aperture of f/16 to turn the light points of the Christmas decorations into small stars, while the shutter speed of 1.6 seconds captures the light on the water surface. The ISO 1600 provides the necessary brightness in these challenging lighting conditions.
- Use a closed aperture such as f/16 to create the desired star effect with bright light sources.
- Consider the shutter speed carefully so that movements on the water appear soft and reflective during long exposures.
- Experiment with the ISO value to find a balance between image noise and the visibility of details in dark areas of the image.
