Photography tips
How this image was taken
To capture this night scene, a shutter speed of 1.6 s was used to gather sufficient ambient light, while the aperture of f/11 ensures depth of field. The ISO setting of 1600 provides adequate exposure under these low-light conditions.
- Use a long shutter speed to clearly capture the festive light reflections on the water surface.
- Choose a narrow aperture like f/11 to keep the details of the illuminated shoreline sharp throughout the frame.
- Experiment with the 12 mm focal length to encompass both the vastness of the lake and the city backdrop in one shot.
