Photography tips
How this image was taken
For this night shot, a combination of a moderate shutter speed of 1/50 s and an aperture of f/4 was required to capture the fire and movement, while the high ISO of 6400 compensated for the low ambient light.
- Use a sufficiently short shutter speed to capture the motion of the fire and the ice skater without excessive blur.
- Pay attention to the light conditions when shooting at night and select an ISO value high enough to correctly expose the subject despite the dark environment.
- Choose a wide aperture so that you have enough exposure latitude in low light to capture the performers clearly.
