Photography tips
How this image was taken
This shot used a shutter speed of 1.6 s to capture the light trails of the boats, while the aperture of f/4 allowed enough light at an ISO of 1000. The focal length of 12 mm provided the wide perspective over the night landscape.
- Use a shutter speed of more than one second to capture moving light sources such as boats as continuous trails.
- Choose a focal length in the wide-angle range to capture the entire scene and the extent of the light points.
- Adjust the ISO sensitivity to the lighting conditions so that a sufficiently short exposure time is achieved with a wide aperture.
