Photography tips

How this image was taken

For this night shot, a long shutter speed of 30 seconds and a narrow aperture of f/18 were used to capture the city lights and the mountain silhouette precisely despite the low light levels.

  • Use a long shutter speed to capture enough brightness in low-light conditions.
  • Select a high f-number such as f/18 to ensure deep depth of field.
  • Keep your ISO setting low when shooting at night to minimize image noise.
